Minneapolis High School is excited to host a Career Tech Education Showcase on October 15, 2025. It will be held in the auxiliary gym from 5:30 to 7:00 pm during parent/teacher conferences. The goal of the evening is to share with both students and parents the career opportunities available to students in CTE-related fields. Many of these programs offer courses that are free to students while they are in high school, allowing them to jump-start their post-secondary education. In addition, depending on the school of choice, students accumulate very little debt. The following programs are planned to be represented that evening:
SATC -AutoTech, Electrical, and Pharmacy Tech
Hutchinson Community College - Fire Science, Computer Science, and Surgical Tech
Cloud County - Nursing, Wind Energy, Solar Energy, and Small Unmanned Aircraft (Drones)
Traveling lab, if weather permits, located outside on Woodland Ave.
Hays Hair Academy - Cosmetology
PrairieLand Partners/AgriVision - John Deere Tech, Diesel Tech, WeLead Tech, HCC and Dordt
Ft Hays Tech/NC - TBD
K-State Salina Aerospace and Technology - Robotics and Digital Media
Carrico Implement - John Deere Tech programs.
Accessible Home Health - Career opportunities in health care
Great Plains Manufacturing - 9-week welding school, internships, and scholars Program through KState
AVI = Automotive Repair Industry
We hope that you will take the time to join us and learn more about these CTE opportunities!

Our Junior High home opener was an eventful evening from weather delay to power outage. On the volleyball court the A team defeated the Lyons in two sets in the 1st match and they were leading them again in match 2 before the power outage suspended play. The football team fought hard but fell short, 12-28. Thank you to the officials, event workers, teams, and patrons for being patient while we waited out the weather. #minneapolisrocks
